Federal 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Designation
Brain In Play Nonprofit Foundation (BIPNF) is a non-profit corporation and shall operate exclusively for edcational purposes within the meaning of section 501 (C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. BIPNF’S purpose is to raise awareness, convey knowledge, support research, and improve treatment regarding preventable and treatable injuries and diseases of the brain. This most specifically includes concussive injuries from sports involving youth, and mild cognitive impairment/early dementia from diseases of aging. BIPNF focuses on the brain injury of concussion and the neurodegenerative diseases of Alzheimer's (PRE ALZ-D), major psychiatric illnesses, substance addiction and Parkinson's Disease. To maximize our impact on current efforts, we may seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations which fall under the 501(C) (3) section of the internal revenue code and are operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes. At times, per the discretion of corporate directors, we may provide internships or volunteer opportunities which provide opportunities for learning involvement in activities and programs related to preventing/healing injuries/diseases of the brain in order to accelerate and have a greater impact ofr change. As such, BIPNF is designated as a Public Benefit Corporation.
